HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS CONTEST OFFERS AWARDS AT STATE AND
NATIONAL LEVEL
Delaware Press Association and the Wilmington News Journal are co-sponsors
of the annual First State High School Communications Contest for both public and
private schools throughout the State of Delaware. All entries are the work
of high school journalism students and have been published in the year
immediately preceding the contest year.
Students enter their work in the following categories: Cartooning, Column,
Editorial, Feature, Feature Photo, Graphics, News, Opinion, Single Page
Layout, Sports, Sports Photo, Reviews, Double Truck Layout and
Radio/News-Public Affairs.
Those students who win a first-place award in the DPA contest are eligible
to enter the national high school competition sponsored by the National
Federation of Press Women.
